Where to even begin with Andrea & Mich? Despite some minor (or rather, major) hiccups throughout the day, this power couple came out on top. Surrounded by their nearest and dearest, dressed to the nines and feeling fabulous, these two shared many laughs, many tears, and just killed it at their wedding. They are so charismatic, so insanely head-over-heels in love with each other, and their complete devotion to, and appreciate for, each other is nothing short of extraordinary. Andrea, your mom most definitely had a hand in bringing you two together that fateful night.
Andrea had been in contact with us for over a year before their wedding date. During this time we exchanged several raw and open emails getting to know them better, excitement for their personal achievements and compassionate understanding with life’s struggles. We knew this would be an emotional day, and we were prepared for laughter through tears, and tears brought on by laughter. When Andrea had explained that her bridesmaids were her chosen family, she wasn’t kidding! These ladies were a force to be reckoned with, managing to help keep Andrea cool as a cucumber when delays getting ready resulted in their ceremony being pushed back by 2 hours. To some, this news may have been devastating but not for Andrea. Surrounded by her besties in an air-conditioned room, in the lower level of Barcelo’s Maya Palace Deluxe lobby, it simply meant the girls would have more time together. This also resulted in building up the eager anticipation to see just how dapper Mich looked for their big day. The groom and his groomsmen were chilling in the lobby bar, and intermittently we would steal each respective group away for family & individual wedding party photos, knowing time would be tighter later on to do so. Despite the short time we had with the newlyweds after the ceremony, we made the most of it before the setting sun meant the reception was upon us. And what a reception it is! The speeches were great, engaging, enlightening and heartfelt, but the questions for this version of “The Shoe Game” the bridesmaids had lined up brought the fun to a whole other level. Needless to say, the game was followed by dancing, because with everyone pretty much already with a drink in hand and on the dance floor, how could they possibly be expected to take their seats again? So a blast to the past at times was enjoyed, with plenty of 90s pop songs from yesteryear, and we couldn’t have enjoyed a better time even if we tried.
